Pooran, Fletcher powers MI Emirates to convincing win over Dubai Capitals in ILT20 2024 final

 


In the final of International League T20 Season-2, Mumbai Indians Emirates team won the title by defeating Dubai Capitals by 45 runs.  In the final, Mumbai team, batting first, scored 208 in 20 overs due to the breathtaking fifties of Nicholas Puran and Andre Fletcher.  In response to this score, Dubai Capitals team was able to score only 163 runs after losing 7 wickets in 20 overs.


 Captain Sam Billings was the top scorer for Dubai while chasing the target.  Billings played an innings of 40 runs in 29 balls.  Apart from this, for Dubai, Tom Benton scored 35 runs in 20 balls while Jason Holder contributed 24 runs in the last over.


 Trent Boult bowled amazingly for Mumbai in the final of the second season of International League T20.  Trent Boult took 2 wickets for just 20 runs in 4 overs.  Apart from this, Vijaykant also took 2 wickets after spending 24 runs in 4 overs.  Apart from these two, Waqar Salamkhil, Muhammad Rohid Khan and Akil Hussain also took one wicket each for Mumbai.


 In the final match, Nicholas Pooran and Andre Fletcher showed amazing performance for Mumbai.  Nicholas Pooran played an explosive innings of 57 runs in 27 balls.  In this innings, he also hit 6 sixes and 2 excellent fours.  Apart from Pooran, Andre Fletcher also contributed a lot with his batting.  Fletcher scored a dazzling 53 runs in 37 balls.  During this, he also hit 4 sixes and 3 fours.


 Mumbai's opener batsmen Muhammad Wasim and Kushal Perera made a rapid start and made a partnership of 77 runs for the first wicket.  Wasim was out after scoring 43 runs in 24 balls while he scored 38 runs in 26 balls.



Nicholas Pooran won the player of the match .

Olympics24 : Ten men India edge out Britain in tie breaker to storm into hockey SF

  India reached the Olympic hockey semifinals by defeating Britain in a shootout. The match ended 1-1 in regulation time, leading to a shootout where India won 4-2. India played with ten players for 42 minutes to secure the victory. In the semifinals, India will face the winner of the Germany-Argentina match. A win in Tuesday's match will ensure a silver medal for last time's bronze winners at the Paris Olympics. Following the advice of video umpire , Indian defender Amit Rohidas was shown a red card in the fourth minute of the second quarter for unintentional stick contact with a British player’s head.
