66th Grammy Awards : Killer Mike arrested after winning awards , Glory for Swift, Indian musicians






Taylor Swift stole the show at this year's Grammy Awards, becoming the first performer to win the prize for album of the year four times.

The superstar had previously been tied on three best album wins with Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon and Frank Sinatra.

She received the prize from Celine Dion, who made an unexpected appearance amid health fears. Swift also used the event to reveal a surprise new album.


Miley Cyrus and Billie Eilish took the other top awards at Sunday's ceremony.

The 66th Grammy Awards took place on Sunday night in Los Angeles.  Within a few moments, three new feathers were added to the crown of success.  Rap musician Killer Mike won three Grammy Awards in a row.  But before enjoying the full taste of success, the musician is seen in handcuffs.  During the ceremony, the killer was handcuffed and taken to the police station in Los Angeles.


 According to the local news agency, the police have not yet said anything about why the killer was suddenly arrested.  However, according to Forbes, it has nothing to do with the Grammy ceremony.  The killer's real name is Michael Santiago Render.  He changed his name for the sake of his profession.  Keeler is occasionally seen speaking out against racism and police brutality.

 Killer won the Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance categories for 'Scientists and Engineers' on Sunday night.  Apart from that, his 'Michael' album received an award in the 'Best Rap Album' category.



The Los Angeles Police Department later said on social media that the rapper was taken into custody because of a "physical altercation that occurred at the 700 block of Chick Hearn Court." They did not provide details on when that incident happened or what the circumstances were.





 Sangeet and 'Shakti' - Four Indian Musicians Headed for the Grammys  Indian band Shakti's album 'This Moment' was awarded as 'Best Global Music Album' in the international field.  Names of four Indian musicians are associated with this band.  Shankar Mahadevan to Ustad Zakir Hussain is a member of this band

Shankar Mahadevan is the vocalist of Shakti band.  John McLaughlin on guitar.  Zakir Hussain is the tabla player.  Ganesh Rajagopalan on violin.  and V. Selvaganesh on other percussion.  The album 'This Moment' was released on 30 June 2023.  There are total eight songs in this album.

 After winning the Grammy, Shankar said standing on the stage that he dedicated this award to his wife.  Thanking family and friends, he said on stage at the Grammys, "Thank you so much God."  Thanks to all my supporting musicians, family, friends.  We are proud of India.  Finally, I will say one thing.  My wife deserves this award.  I offer him every note of my music, of my creation.''

The album was selected as the winner in the 'Best Global Music Album' category at the Grammy Awards.  Musicians such as Susana Baca, Bocante, Davido and Burna Boy were also nominated.

 Besides winning as a member of the band 'Shakti', Ustad Zakir Hussain was honored for the second time on the Grammy stage on Monday.  Zakir's creation 'Pashto' was awarded at the Grammy stage.  "Pashto" won the award in the "Best Global Music Performance" category.  Indian bass player Rakesh Chaurasia won with Zakir.  Zakir has won three Grammys so far.  Rakesh's success is also crowned with two Grammy Awards.

 The 66th Grammy Awards took place on February 4 in Los Angeles.  Renowned comedian Trevor Noah was in charge of hosting this event.  For the fourth time, he is seen on the stage of the Grammy in the role of host.  Popular musicians such as Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish and Oprah Winfrey performed at the star-studded event.
