Malabi is a popular Middle Eastern dessert. Here's a basic recipe and the steps to prepare Malabi:


**Ingredients:**

- 1 cup cornstarch

- 4 cups milk

- 1 cup sugar

- 1 teaspoon rose water or orange blossom water (for flavor)

- Ground pistachios or shredded coconut for garnish

- Rose syrup for drizzling (optional)


**Steps:**


1. **Mix Cornstarch:**

   - In a bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in 1 cup of cold milk. Make sure there are no lumps.


2. **Heat Milk Mixture:**

   - In a saucepan, heat the remaining 3 cups of milk over medium heat. Add sugar and stir until it dissolves.


3. **Combine Mixtures:**

   - Slowly pour the cornstarch mixture into the saucepan with the heating milk. Stir continuously to avoid lumps.


4. **Cook and Thicken:**

   - Continue to cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until it thickens. This usually takes about 10-15 minutes.


5. **Add Flavor:**

   - Once thickened, add rose water or orange blossom water for a fragrant flavor. Mix well.


6. **Pour into Serving Dishes:**

   - Remove the mixture from heat and pour it into serving dishes or ramekins. Allow it to cool to room temperature.


7. **Chill:**

   - Refrigerate the Malabi for at least 4 hours or overnight until it sets.


8. **Garnish and Serve:**

   - Before serving, sprinkle ground pistachios or shredded coconut on top. Drizzle with rose syrup if desired.


9. **Enjoy:**

   - Serve chilled and enjoy this delightful  Middle Eastern dessert!
