T20IWC : Hardik powers India to comfortable win over Bangladesh

Team India produced a proper team performance and practically sealed the semi-final ticket by defeating Bangladesh in the super 8 stage of T20I World cup.

Bengal Tigers or Men in Blue!  The whole world was looking at who will advance in the race to reach the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup.  The unstoppable Rohit Sharma as the favorite won another match in his name.  Cricket lovers were waiting for a tough fight against Shakib Al Hasan.  But India did not have to do much to win against them.  It was India who once again flew the flag of victory in the Twenty20 format, courtesy of the amazing power with the bat and the ball.

Nazmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and sent Rohit to bat first.  However, the Bangladeshi bowlers could not fully control the Indian batting line-up .  On the contrary, Kohli laid the foundation by playing a bright innings of 37 runs by hitting three sixes after Rohit smashed his way to 23 in 11 balls .  After that, Pant gave the team a little more stabilty by scoring a sparkling 36 runs on hard ground. Dube contributed a crucial 34 but it was Hardik Pandya (50*) who played an explosive innings to silence the critics.  He left the field undefeated by hitting four boundaries and three sixes and bringing the team close to 200 runs with a half-century.  The Indian all-rounder proved once again that he is still a strong pillar of the team in the T20 format.

In response, Bangladesh could not withstand the Indian bowling.  Apart from captain Shanto's 40 runs, the rest practically fell on their faces in front of the Indian pace and spin.  Kuldeep took three wickets alone.  Arshdeep and Bumrah took two wickets each.

It is clear from the statistics that Bangladesh is far behind India in the T20 format.  However, it was feared that Liton Das & Co may become more determined after the loss to Australia in the rain-hit match.  But Hardik & team  explained that challenging the Indians is practically impossible at present.  Bangladesh was knocked out of the World Cup after losing this match.  On the other hand, it remains to be seen if Rohit & co can reach the last four without losing any game.
