Euro24 : England held to a 1-1 draw by gallant Denmark

England would have secured the last 16 of the Euro Cup if they won.  They went ahead with Harry Kane's goal.  But they had to draw because of the mistake of defence.  Despite advancing against Denmark, England drew 1-1.  As a result, Gareth Southgate's men have not yet reached the next round.  On the other hand, Denmark survived the fight by drawing two consecutive matches

Despite winning against Serbia, England could not show dominance on the field.  Several times there was danger in front of their goal as well.  England's defence also showed gaps against Denmark.  From the beginning, Denmark started playing very confidently.  The midfield battle was on.  Both teams were trying to keep possession of the ball.

England went ahead after 18 minutes.  Kyle Walker took the ball from the opponent's feet and entered the box on the right side.  He raised the pass.  Denmark could not save that ball.  The ball reached Kane, who stands free.  England striker did not make a mistake to score with his left foot.  He scored the first goal in the current Euro.

After conceding a goal, Denmark began to play more attacking football.  Christian Eriksen, Hoybier, Windera started playing more passes.  As a result, England's defence came under pressure.  The result is Denmark scored .  After 34 minutes, Martin Hulmand got the ball from a mistake by England's defence.  He hit the ground with his right foot from outside the box.  Jordan Pickford was late to see that ball in the leg woods.  As a result, Pickford could not reach the ball.  The ball hits the post and goes into the goal 1-1

At the beginning of the second half, England went ahead again.  Phil Fodden's left-footed shot from outside the box hit the post after 56 minutes.  All of England's attacks were from the right flank.  Denmark's defence was benefiting from not attacking down the left flank.  But in between several times Bukayo Saka entered the box with the ball.  But he could not open the mouth of the goal.  Judd Bellingham scored in the previous match but did not score in this match.  As a result, England was in trouble.

England coach Southgate showed courage after 69 minutes.  He took Ken, Foden, Saka together.  Fresh footballer Naman.  But that did not change the picture of the attack.  On the other hand, after 80 minutes, Denmark created the situation to score at least twice.  But they could not score due to delay in decision making.

Both teams could not score goals in the rest of the time.  In the end, England and Denmark had to leave the field with a draw.  England's defense against Denmark after Serbia will further worry Southgate.
