The second seeded pair of Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden reached the semi-finals of the French Open.  After winning the Australian Open, Bopanna is in the semi-finals of the French Open.  They beat the German pair of Sander Gille and Zoran Vijen on Wednesday.  Wednesday's big event was the elimination of Elena Rybekina and Aryna Sabalenka in the girls' singles on the same day.

India's Bopanna is now 44 years old.  He is now ranked second in doubles.  He reached the top spot by winning the Australian Open this year.  No tennis player has ever achieved this feat at such an advanced age.  Bopanna has maintained that rhythm.  Teamed up with Australia's Ebden and reached the semi-finals of the French Open.  They beat the German pair 7-6, 5-7, 6-1.

In the girls' singles, there was a double event on Wednesday.  First, fourth seed Rybakina lost against twelfth seed Jasmin Paolini.  Rybakina lost 2-6, 6-4, 4-6.  Rybakina hit 10 aces.  But even then she could not win the match.  Paolini reached the semi-finals.

Meanwhile Alexander Zverev beat D'minaur in straight sets to set up a repeat last year semi final clash with Casper Ruud . Apart from a few hiccups Zverev was in control fir most of the match .
