Video : Passenger assaults pilot inside aircraft due to flight delay, gets suspended

  





A case of assault on the captain in an IndiGo flight has come to light.  Angered by the flight delay, a passenger punched the captain.  A video related to this incident is going viral on social media.  This incident is of Indigo flight (6E-2175) from Delhi to Goa, which was delayed by several hours due to fog. In the viral video, a person wearing a yellow hoodie suddenly ran towards the pilot and punched him.   Actually this pilot was giving information regarding the delay in the plane.

 In another video, the IndiGo crew was seen running to the pilot's aid and telling the passenger, "You can't do this... you can't do this!".  To this he said, "Why can't I do this? Why can't I?"



The passenger has been identified as Sahil Kataria.  Indigo has filed a complaint against the passenger.  Immediately after the incident, Sahil Kataria was taken out of the plane and handed over to the authorities.

 According to IGI Airport Police, on the complaint of Indigo flight co-pilot Anup Kumar, the police has registered an FIR under sections 323, 341, 290 and 22 aircraft rules of IPC.


 According to police officials, at present a notice has been served to the accused passenger Sahil Kataria for questioning under CrPC 41.  However, all these sections are bailable.  According to the complaint, the accused passenger attacked the co-pilot and created a ruckus in the Indigo flight number 6E2175 from Delhi to Goa.


 People are also reacting to the viral video.  "What do the pilots or cabin crew have to do with the delay? They were just doing their job. Arrest this guy, and put him on the no-fly list," one person posted on Twitter. His photo was published.  Do this so that people become aware of his bad nature in public."  Another user wrote, "This person should be booked for assault and also put on the no fly list. @IndiGo6E is in the news for all the wrong reasons and action should be taken for its shortcomings, but this  It is completely unacceptable for any passenger to behave like this,"



Indigo also published a notice on this incident in their social media handle as they are taking steps to put the passenger in no fly list
