Finn Allen (137) explodes as Pakistan crash to a series losing 3rd defeat to New Zealand

 


Finn Allen  produced one of the most sensationally explosive innings of all time in T20I cricket to power hosts New Zealand to a brilliant 45 run win over a helpless Pakistan and seal the T20I series with an unassailable 3-0 lead 


Batting first New Zealand lost Conway (7) early but Siefert (31) supported Allen well who started to plunder runs in 6s off the fast bowlers . Allen smashed Haris Rauf in particular to all parts of the field particularly in the stands . Sixes flew thick and fast at Dunedin as Allen played a brutal innings of 137 off 64 balls with only 5 fours but 16 sixes  !! 


Glenn Phillips (19) got a few runs as New Zealand  ended at 224/7 in 20 overs . Shaheen Afridi ( 43 runs in 4 overs ) and Haris Rauf ( 60 runs 2 wkts in 4 overs ) along with others  were smashed all over the place by Allen's explosive knock. Most of Allen's sixes went over mid wicket or onside region .



In reply Pakistan kept losing wickets in a big chase as Ayub(10) , Rizwan (24) , Fakhar (19) could not sustain their attacking game . Babar (58) played a fine knock with dazzling drives and pulls in his 37 balls . Later Nawaz (28) made some bold hits but it was too little too late as Pakistan could manage 179/7 in their 20 overs to lose by 45 runs with Allen the player of the match
