Olivier salad, also known as Russian salad, is a traditional dish made with a variety of vegetables and meats. Here's a basic recipe:


Ingredients:

- Potatoes (3 medium-sized, boiled and diced)

- Carrots (3 medium-sized, boiled and diced)

- Peas (1 cup, boiled)

- Pickles (about 5, diced)

- Bologna or cooked chicken (1 cup, diced)

- Hard-boiled eggs (4, chopped)

- Mayonnaise (1 cup)

- Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions:

1. Boil potatoes, carrots, and peas until they are tender. Allow them to cool and then dice them into small pieces.

2. Dice pickles, bologna or chicken, and hard-boiled eggs.

3. In a large bowl, combine all the diced vegetables, meats, and eggs.

4. Add mayonnaise to the mixture and gently toss everything together until well coated.

5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust mayo, salt, and pepper according to your preference.

6. Refrigerate the salad for at least a couple of hours before serving to allow flavors to meld.
