Sir Andy Roberts is a former West Indian cricketer and one of the legendary fast bowlers of the West Indies cricket team during the 1970s and 1980s. Born on January 29, 1951, in Antigua, Roberts was a key figure in the West Indies' dominance in international cricket. Known for his intimidating pace and accuracy, he played a crucial role in the team's success, forming a formidable bowling quartet alongside Michael Holding, Joel Garner, and Colin Croft. Roberts played 47 Test matches, taking 202 wickets, and 56 One Day Internationals (ODIs), making significant contributions to West Indies cricket during its golden era. After retirement, he has been involved in coaching and commentary, leaving a lasting impact on the sport.

   - In his Test career, which spanned from 1974 to 1983, Roberts played 47 matches, taking 202 wickets at an impressive average of 25.6 .  Apart from tests , in 56 ODIs he took 87 wickets at 20.35 average .  He has taken 889 first class wickets .

The 2-0 series win in Australia in 1979-80 season, the 3-0 series win in England in the 1976 series were the two triumphs most dear to Roberts
