Rugby World cup 23 : Argentina , France script contrasting wins
The Rugby World cup is poised for more exciting times as Argentina scripted their first win in this year's World cup by beating Samoa 19-10 to stay on course for a quarter-final spot in a tight Pool D game .
Emiliano Boffelli scored the only try and kicked 11 points, Nicolas Sanchez adding a late penalty as the Argentines got an important win.
Samoa threatened a comeback with Sama Malolo’s late converted try adding to Christian Leali’ifano’s penalty, but it was too little, too late.
England lead Pool D with nine points from two games, Argentina despite this win is on 4th spot but hopes still alive .
Meanwhile, France thrashed Namibia 96-0 in Marseille, but face an anxious wait as skipper Antoine Dupont may have suffered a serious facial injury that could place his tournament in jeopardy.
The victory constituted France's biggest victory, as they ran in 14 tries, including a hat-trick for wing Damian Penaud.
"There is a suspicion of a crack or fracture of the maxillary bone [upper jaw]," France head coach Fabien Galthie said on Dupont
"Currently he's in hospital being tested, there is the suspicion. I cannot tell you more than that. We are extremely concerned." the concerned looking coach said .
