India annihilates Pakistan after Rahul- Kohli show

Virat Kohli and KL Rahul hit centuries and Kuldeep took a 5fer as India completely demolished Pakistan by a huge margin of 228 runs in the crucial super 4 match . The match had to be played across 2 days due to heavy rains on day 1 .

Put in to bat on Sunday , Indian openers looked in  supreme touch against the high skilled Pakistani quicks but Rohit's imperious flick off his pads for a six of Shaheen Afridi  got India going . Shubman Gill was the early aggressor as he played several glorious shots , punches through the covers off backfoot , crisp flicks etc while Rohit after taking time started to unleash some imperious shots all round the ground as India reached 126 is quick time before Shadab Khan had an aggresive Rohit (56) caught in the deep , Gill (58) followed soon , out to a slower ball from Shaheen

This brought Kohli and Rahul together but no sooner they started to bat heavy rains set in and subsequently match was called off .

The match started on day 2 with Kohli and Rahul laying a big foundation . Rahul started by hitting many glorious shots and gradually Kohli built up the momentum before he started to unleash himself . Both batters completed their well deserved 100s as Pakistan without Haris Rauf looked a pedestrian attack . Finally Virat (122*) and Rahul (111*) ended the innings in a flourish as India pile up 356/2 .

In reply , Pakistan looked troubled right from the start as Bumrah and Siraj bowled magnificently . Bumrah bowled an unplayable away going ball to induce the edge of Imam (9) . Babar Azam (10)  was bowled by a perfect incutter from Hardik which almost decided the match . Rizwan (2) was caught behind off Shardul and then Kuldeep got Fakkar (27) bowled . Though there  The last 5 wickets fell quickly with Kuldeep Yadav doing all the damage with his skilful leg spin bowling to take 5/25 .

India will now meet Sri Lanka tomorrow in another important match   of super 4
