PV Sindhu taking special steps to revive her dipping performances

PV Sindhu did not have a good year.  India's top badminton star have failed in one competition after another. In  Seven competitions she was eliminated from the first round itself which is surprising for a top ranking world player .   The Asian Games are ahead.  In this situation, Sindhu has gone to former All England champion Prakash Padukone.  Sindhu, who has dropped to number 14 in the rankings, has been practicing at Prakash Padukone's academy in Bengaluru for the past one week.

Sindhu decided not to enter the China Open after losing to Japan's Nozomi Okuhara in the second round of the World Championships last month.  At that time he went to Padukone Academy.  Sindhu is accompanied by her Malaysian coach Mohammad Hafeez Hashim.

An official of Padukone's academy said that Sindhu is practicing for 6-7 hours every day.  Padukone himself is always there and  watching Sindhu's  game.  After that the two are discussing.  Sindhu is playing matches with other players of Padukone Academy.  This plan is designed to boost her confidence.

However  Sindhu will not stay in Padukone Academy for long.  Because the Hong Kong Open starts from September 12.  Sindhu will play there and   prepare herself before the Asia Cup.  Whether the few days of practice have paid off for Padukone will be seen at the Hong Kong Open.
