Watch video : Rare spotless Giraffe born in USA Zoo

A rare giraffe has been born in a zoo in America.  The body of that giraffe is spotless, that is, there are no stripes on its body. This is the only surviving giraffe of its kind in the world.  When the experts saw this giraffe, they were also surprised.  However, this giraffe has not yet been named.  For this, the Zoo Administration has sought help from people on social media and has asked them to choose one of the four names posted on Facebook.

According to the news of Dailystar, this ultra-rare giraffe was born on July 31 at Brights Zoo in Limestone, Tennessee, USA.  Bright's Zoo said, 'Giraffe experts believe that he is the only spotless giraffe living anywhere on earth.  According to zoo staff, the spotless giraffe is about six feet tall now and is growing up under the care of its mother.

The zoo administration has run a contest on Facebook to name this giraffe.    Finally  4 names were suggested  for the Giraffe.  These are as follows – Kipekee , which means unique;  Firyali, meaning unusual or extraordinary;  Shakiri, meaning ‘she is the most beautiful’, and Djemela, meaning ‘one of the most beautiful’.  People have to choose one of these names and write that name in the comment section.

After about 40,000 votes, a Tennessee zoo revealed the name of a rare spotless giraffe that was born last month – Kipekee , which means unique.

Zoo director David Bright told CBS News that the first spotless giraffe dates back to 1972 when it was born at Tokyo's Ueno Zoo.  They named her Toshiko.

Tony Bright, founder of Bright's Zoo, said: 'International coverage of our patternless baby giraffe has drawn attention around the world to giraffe conservation.  Wild animals are rapidly moving towards extinction, with 40 percent of the wild giraffe population lost in the last three decades.  Our aim is to attract as much attention as possible to spread awareness on the threat of endangered species."
