Famous model Gigi Hadid arrested for possessing banned substance

  


A big news has come out about the famous supermodel Gigi Hadid.  If reports are to be believed, Hadid was arrested a few days back in the Cayman Islands along with her friend for possession of marijuana.  According to the report, Gigi landed at Owen Roberts International Airport in Grand Cayman on July 10 with her friend Leah McCarthy, where they were found to be carrying marijuana.



 According to media reports, when customs officers scanned Gigi's luggage, they found marijuana.  The model-actress was then arrested on suspicion of possessing and importing marijuana.  On July 12, 2023, Gigi and her friend McCarthy appeared in summary court, and officers pleaded guilty to the charges.  Gigi and her friend McCarthy were fined $1,000 each for the charge, and were released on bail.



 The spokesperson of the model gave this statement


 Gigi Hadid and her friend Leah McCarthy stayed in Palm Heights, photos of which were shared by the actress herself on her social media account.  Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Hadid said, "Gigi was traveling with legally purchased marijuana in NYC with a medical license."  It is also legal for medical use in Grand Cayman since 2017.  Her record is clean and she thoroughly enjoyed the rest of her time on the island.


 Gigi Hadid has been in headlines for some time now regarding her personal life.  If reports are to be believed, she is dating 'Titanic' actor Leonardo DiCaprio.  The news of the actor's relationship with Gigi Hadid surfaced soon after Leonardo and Camila Morrone broke up after their four-year relationship.  Both have also been spotted together in many events.
