Manipur crisis :Lok Sabha Speaker accepts notice for no-confidence motion against Modi govt

There was a rumour.  Finally, the opposition camp decided to move a no-confidence motion against the Modi government.  Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi moved a no-confidence motion in Parliament on Wednesday morning.  He issued a notification bringing this proposal and Speaker has finally accepted the same & promised discussion.  It is learned that if at least 50 MPs are in favour of the proposal, any day in the next 10 days can be chosen for discussion.

It is known that MPs of INDIA alliance met in a meeting on this day.  But it is not known what was discussed in that meeting.  However, Congress Assistant Parliamentary Leader Gaurav Gogoi gave a notification in the Lok Sabha at around 10 am on this day.

According to rules, MPs was asked to stand up to know who agrees with the motion.   The Speaker Om Birla will choose a day within the next 10 days to discuss the proposal.  It is to be noted that a separate motion of no confidence has already been brought by the BRS i.e. Bharat Rashtra Samiti.

It should be noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has to answer why this is the case in Manipur.  The opposition has been on this demand since the beginning of the new session of the parliament.  Many opposition MPs even staged a dharna on Monday.  But even then the Prime Minister did not agree to make a statement.  Finally the motion of no confidence was brought.
