Persistent heavy rains in Delhi, Telangana, Maharashtra, Odisha, Karnataka, schools closed

 



 Heavy rains continue in various parts of the country leading to hampering of normal lifestyles.   Meteorological Department has predicted that it will rain like this till next 28th July.  In this situation, the Hyderabad administration has declared holiday for all schools and colleges for the next two days.  Schools closed due to flood situation in large parts of Telangana.  All schools up to class 12th in Noida and Greater Noida areas will remain closed on Wednesday.



 It rained since morning in Delhi and some adjoining areas.  Due to this, the administration is deeply concerned about the water level of Yamuna. It is known that the Yamuna is flowing a little below the danger mark.  However, the way the rains are going on, the Yamuna may again touch the danger mark, fear the locals.  The traffic problem on the highway is likely to increase further due to rain since morning.  As a result, ordinary people may become restless while going out of the house during the working day.


Ghaziabad, Noida areas are experiencing thundershowers.  In some places water has also accumulated again.  Some areas were already flooded.  There is more rain making the situation worse.  All schools in Noida and Greater Noida will remain closed till Class XII on Wednesday due to rain and water logging.


 Telangana's Nizamabad has witnessed maximum rainfall in the last 24 hours.  400 mm rainfall has been recorded there in the last 24 hours.  The weather office has predicted heavy rain for the next two days.  As a result, a red alert has been issued in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh for the next two days.  All schools will remain closed in Hyderabad for the next two days.


 According to the Meteorological Department, a depression has formed in the Bay of Bengal.  Due to this, heavy rains are likely over the coastal areas of Andhra.


 Raigad, Pune, Satara and Ratnagiri districts of Maharashtra have been on red alert for Wednesday.  Mumbai, Palghar and Thane are under orange alert as usual.  Holidays have been declared in schools and colleges in several districts including Raigarh.


 Rain ravaged Karnataka too.  In coastal Karnataka, all schools were closed on Wednesday due to the threat of floods.  Residents are also prohibited from leaving their homes unless absolutely necessary.  Incessant rains are continuing in Karnataka's Malnad area.  The Meteorological Department has issued orange alert there.  A warning of heavy rainfall has been issued over large areas of the state in the next 24 hours.  Heavy to very heavy rain is forecast in South Kannada, Udupi, North Kannada, Chikmagalur, Kodagu and Shivamoga districts.


Heavy rain warning in the entire Odisha state.  The administration has banned fishermen from going to the sea till July 27.  Schools and colleges have to be closed in many areas.  There has been a huge impact on public life.  The Meteorological Department has predicted more rain in Odisha due to the cyclone formed in the Bay of Bengal.  Special alert has been issued in coastal Odisha.


 The rains are not predicted to stop in Himachal or Uttarakhand either.  These two states are already affected by rain.  Meteorologists feel that there is no possibility of improvement in the situation in the next two days.  Special alert has been issued in eight districts of Uttarakhand on Wednesday and Thursday.  It has been said that due to the situation of floods , collapse, mudslide may arise.  People living around different rivers have also been warned separately.


 Cloudy rain is expected in Himachal on Tuesday too.  Houses collapsed in Kulu district because of it.  Farmland has been damaged.  Public life has been disrupted.  As a result, power services were disrupted at several places.
