Facebook announces several upgrades in video upload features
Meta-owned social media platform Facebook has announced several upgrades to video features for the convenience of users. The company has added a new Videos tab. With the help of this tab it will be easy to edit and upload the video. Along with this, the company has also added many features such as refined editing tools, the ability to upload videos in HDR and a video tab in place of the old Watch tab.
With the help of new editing tools, users will be able to add music, filters and other effects to their videos. Users will be able to trim and cut their videos as well as add titles and captions. In addition, users will be able to upload videos in HDR, which allows for more vivid color and quality videos to be uploaded.
The new Videos tab will make it easier for users to find and watch videos on Facebook. The company has replaced the old Watch tab with this one and said it will soon appear on the shortcut bar. Meta calls it a "one-stop shop for all video on Facebook, including reels, longer videos, and live content." According to Meta, the "Videos" option will be at the top of the Android app and at the bottom of the iOS version.
Users will also have the facility to browse vertically through a personalized feed of videos with a separate reels section. The company said it is bringing Reels editing tools to Facebook feed, which means users will be able to add audio, text and music directly to their videos when uploading from the app.
Meta is also adding new editing options, such as the ability to change the speed of a clip, reverse it, or replace it. The company says it is working to make things as easy as selecting audio tracks, noise reduction, and recording voice-overs on videos for audio. At the same time, Meta is also going to provide the facility to upload videos in HDR quality. That is, users will be able to upload high quality videos directly from the phone itself.
Meta is continuously working on increasing the reels and video content formats on its Facebook and Instagram platforms. In March this year, Meta increased the reels limit for Facebook from 60 seconds to 90 seconds.
