Review : How good is Bollywood film " Bawaal" ?

These days big films are also being released directly on OTT.  Varun Dhawan and Jahnavi Kapoor's film Bawaal has come on Amazon Prime. The film has been directed by Nitesh Tiwari, who has made great films like Dangal and Chhichhore.  The trailer of the film was released in Dubai. Amidst the content coming on OTT, is this film worth watching, the answer is yes of course .

This is the story of Varun Dhawan i.e. Ajay Dixit aka Ajju Bhaiya who has made a living in Lucknow.  He is a teacher but he is not interested in teaching.  He has a lot of love for his image.  On the other side is Jhanvi Kapoor i.e. Nisha who suffers from epilepsy since childhood and because of this no boy has ever come in her life.  Varun and Jhanvi get married because Jhanvi likes Varun's image and Varun feels that marrying a girl like Jhanvi would be better for his image.  Jhanvi had already told Varun about her illness, but she has a bout of epilepsy again on the wedding night itself, and from the very first day there is distance between the two.  Then Ajay is suspended from school for a month because he slapped the son of an MLA.  If he loses his job, his image will be tarnished, so Ajay decides to go to Europe and make videos there to teach children about World War 2.  Jhanvi also goes along but what happens then?   For this you have to watch this movie

In this film, the story may be about two people coming close, but it was served amidst the information of World War and this information was given in an entertaining way without getting bored.  Children must be shown this film so that they can get information about it. The film does not bore anywhere. It moves forward at its own pace. Nitesh Tiwari has succeeded in striking a good balance of love story and information.  It is really interesting to see World War through the locations of Europe.  This is a clean film which can be watched comfortably with the whole family.

Varun Dhawan has done a good acting of the character of Ajju Bhaiya. He has also caught the local accent well. Janhvi Kapoor is also good. She impresses more in the second half. Manoj Pahwa did well in the  character of Varun's father.  Anjuman Saxena's work in the character of Varun's mother is also good.

Nitesh Tiwari's direction is good but he could not cross the benchmark that Nitesh Tiwari has set for himself. This film does not seem to be of the level of a couple of his previous ones   but looks good.

Mithun, Tanishk Bagchi and Akashdeep Sengupta have given the music of the film and the music is good. When the songs come in the film, it does not seem that they are slowing down the story. The music fits the pace and mood of the film.

All in all , a nice film to watch .
