Lionel Messi of Argentina, one of the greatest football players in the world, continues to have a bang in America.  Messi scored two goals in the second match of the League Cup for Inter Miami to win the team.  With this win, Inter Miami have confirmed their place in the knockout round.  The team has now reached round-32.  This is their second consecutive win in Group-J.  Inter Miami have six points from two matches.  Cruz Azul is second and Atlanta United is third in the group.

Messi performed well for the second consecutive match.  He scored two goals in a span of 14 minutes at Inter Miami's home ground.  Apart from this, he also made a goal assist.  Apart from Messi, Robert Taylor also scored two goals for Inter Miami.  Messi made his debut in the last match against Cruz Azul.  He now has three goals and one assist in two matches.

Inter Miami started strongly in the match.  Messi put the team ahead 1-0 in the eighth minute itself.  Together with his Barcelona teammate Sergio Busquets, he put pressure on the opposition team.  Busquets fired the ball towards Messi, dodging Atalanta players.  The Inter Miami captain took advantage of this and reached close to the goalpost with the ball.  He shot for goal, but the ball came back after hitting the post.  Messi was standing there.  Showing cleverness, this time he put the ball in the  net

The fans didn't have to wait long for Messi's second goal.  In the 22nd minute of the match, Messi scored the second goal for the team.  He ran forward with the ball, but was surrounded by Atlanta players.  Meanwhile, Messi cleverly hit the ball towards his teammate Taylor.  Taylor reached close to the goalpost with the ball and crossed it towards Messi.  Messi made no mistake and put the ball into the goal post.  In this way the team went ahead 2-0.
