Samsung's new features in Galaxy Watch series to include Wallet, Thermo Check and WhatsApp

Samsung has announced new features in the Galaxy Watch series.  These features include Samsung Wallet, Thermo Check and WhatsApp.  These features will allow users to do more with their smartwatch.  For example, they can make payments, take their temperature and chat on WhatsApp, all from their smartwatch.

Last year, Samsung Wallet integrated 'Samsung Pay' with 'Samsung Pass'.  Now this app will also be available with Samsung Watch Series.  Through this all-in-one Samsung Wallet app, users can make payments, provide ID, and book show tickets directly from their smartwatch.  Samsung has thanks to the new Skin Temperature API, which is a part of Samsung's Privileged Health Software Development Kit (SDK).  This allows partners to take full advantage of the Galaxy Watch's advanced infrared technology.

The 'New Thermo Check App' allows users to easily measure the temperature around them.  The app will first be available on upcoming Galaxy Watch devices and later on the Watch5 series.  In a new addition to the OS ecosystem, Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch4 users can now access the WhatsApp app.  The WhatsApp app also allows users to chat, send messages and answer calls without taking out their phones.

The tech giant said that with the introduction of these new features, there will be many features in the Samsung Galaxy Watch series.  Samsung is expected to launch its upcoming Galaxy Watch series 'Watch6' at the next 'unpacked event' on July 26.  The Samsung community moderator in charge said on the official forum of the Galaxy Wear app earlier this month that Samsung developers are working on a feature that will identify tattooed users on their wrists and guide them.
