India A beats Bangladesh A & reach final of Emerging Asia Cup

 

India A beat Bangladesh A by 51 runs in the semi-finals of the Men's Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023.  Batting first, Team India gave a target of 212 runs.  In response, Bangladesh A's team got piled on the score of 160 runs.  Now India A will face Pakistan A in the final.  Pakistan A defeated Sri Lanka A by 60 runs in the first semi-final.  Nishant Sindhu took 5 wickets in the semi-finals for Team India.



 Batting first, India A scored 211 runs in 49.1 overs till they were all out.  During this, Yash Dhul played the captains innings.  He scored 66 runs in 85 balls.  Yash hit 6 fours.  Abhishek Sharma scored 34 runs in 63 balls.  He hit 2 fours and a six.  Opener Sai Sudarshan scored 21 runs in 24 balls.  His innings included 3 fours.  Riyan Parag could not do anything special.  He got out after scoring 12 runs.  Nikin Jose contributed 17 runs.  Manav Soodhar played an inning of 21 runs.  He hit 3 fours.


 Chasing the target given by India, the Bangladesh team was reduced to a score of 160 runs.  For that, Tanjim Hasan played a brilliant inning of 51 runs.  He faced 56 balls and hit 8 fours.  Mohammad Naeem contributed 38 runs.  Captain Saif Hasan played an innings of 22 runs, Hasan Joy scored 20 runs.  Apart from these, no one could do anything special.  In this way Bangladesh had to face defeat by 51 runs.  Now India will face Pakistan in the final.


 Nishant Sindhu bowled brilliantly for Team India.  He took 5 wickets for 20 runs in 8 overs.  Manav Soodhar took 3 wickets for 32 runs in 8.2 overs.  Abhishek Sharma took one wicket for 21 runs in 3 overs.  Yuvraj Singh Dodiya took one wicket for 35 runs in 7 overs.



In the group game India A beat Pakistan A comfortably.  Pakistan A includes couple of players of senior Pakistan side like Mohammed Wasim Jr and Shahnawaz Dahani . Both played international matches for Pakistan across formats.  Even then Pakistan side lost to India in the group game convincingly.  Let us see what happens in the final  to be played on Sunday
