More heavy rain alert issued for many states, rains will continue in Maharashtra-Odisha

 



 The incessant rains in many states have become a problem for the people.  At some places, flood-like conditions have developed.  Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted rains to continue over Maharashtra and Odisha and light to moderate rains over the next few days for some states.



 The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain alert for more than five states.  According to IMD, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, East Rajasthan will also receive light to moderate rains between July 29 and August 2.



 IMD has predicted rain in the next few days for Mumbai and its neighboring districts, which have been receiving torrential rains for the past several days.

 


 In the forecast of five days, the IMD has not given any warning for Mumbai till August 1.  Yellow alert has been issued on August 2.  It is being told that the intensity of rain may increase by the middle of the week.


Talking about East India, the Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rains in West Bengal and Sikkim on July 30, Jharkhand on August 1 and Bihar between July 31 and August 2.


 In Northeast India, light to moderate rains may occur over Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the next five days.


 The IMD has predicted heavy rainfall at a few places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Dhenkanal, Angul, Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir and Kandhamal districts on Sunday.


 IMD says that due to the effect of low pressure, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at one or two places over Dhenkanal, Angul, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, Kandhamal districts on July 31.
