BCCI Head & NCA chief to interrogate Harmanpreet on her outbursts in Bangladesh tour

Harmanpreet Kaur…is the captain of the Indian women's cricket team and one of the best players of the current era.  She is often in the news because of her fast batting, although nowadays she is in headlines for wrong reasons instead of her game.  Recently, Harmanpreet has been banned for two matches. Harmanpreet Kaur was angry with the umpire's decision in Bangladesh and hit the wicket with the bat, after which the ICC took action against her.  Harmanpreet's problems have not ended here.  According to reports, BCCI President Roger Binny and NCA Chief VVS Laxman are going to meet Harmanpreet Kaur.

According to media reports, BCCI is angry with Harmanpreet Kaur's act and that is why Roger Binny and VVS Laxman are going to meet her.  Both Binny and Laxman will question Harmanpreet Kaur on the incident in Bangladesh.  There is also news that the BCCI will not appeal against the two-match ban imposed on Harmanpreet by the ICC.  It is clear that the attitude of Harmanpreet Kaur has disappointed the BCCI.

Harmanpreet was banned for two matches after her above conduct  and now BCCI President and NCA Chief are going to interrogate her ?  The third and deciding match of the ODI series between India and Bangladesh was going on in Mirpur, in which the umpire gave LBW out to Harmanpreet.  Harmanpreet suddenly got angry with this decision and she hit her bat on the stump.  In the end, this match was tied and Team India could not win the ODI series.  The series was drawn 1-1.

Harmanpreet did not stop here.  After the match, both the teams had a photo session with the trophy, so they asked the Bangladeshi captain to call the umpire here as well.  Actually Harmanpreet believed that Team India could not win the series because of the decision of the umpires.

After this action of Harmanpreet, a complaint was made against her.  ICC banned him for two matches.  Along with this, 75 percent of his match fees were also deducted.  Harman will not be able to play the first two matches for the Indian team in the Asian Games.  But now the interesting question is why does BCCI want to question and answer Harmanpreet?  Is there going to be a big action against her ?

Harmanpreet will miss India's first two matches at the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou and Smriti Mandhana is likely to lead the team.

Kaur accepted the charges  after which she was banned for two matches by the ICC International Panel match referee Akhtar Ahmed.

Kaur faced criticism from several former veterans for her attitude.  After which the BCCI is under pressure to take strict steps in this matter.  What decision the board will take in Harmanpreet Kaur's case will be clear after her meeting with Binny and Laxman.

As the situation stands, she will miss the next two games as India is scheduled to participate in the 2023 Asian Games.  Harmanpreet will participate in the competition only when India reaches the finals.  In her absence, Mandhana will take charge of Team India in China.

Along with the ban of two matches, Harmanpreet Kaur has also received three demerit points for violating the ICC Code of Conduct.  If a player gets four or more demerit points within 24 months, she has to face a ban.  Two demerit points equals a ban from one Test or two ODIs or two T20s.  The demerit points will remain on the player's disciplinary record for a period of 24 months.
