The film Kalki 2898 AD earns a whopping 588 crores in 20 days & 960 crs worldwide

The film "Kalki 2898 AD," starring illustrious Bollywood actors such as Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone, has made a significant mark this year. Unlike last year, when no film could weave such magic, "Kalki 2898 AD" has compensated for everything in one go. The film has been earning robustly since day one. Let’s see how much the film earned on its 20th day, Tuesday.

Talking about the collection so far, "Kalki 2898 AD" still needs to earn around 60 crores more to surpass "Jawan." If it doesn't face significant setbacks from "Bad News," it is expected to cross this figure by the weekend. Among the top films in the country are "Baahubali 2" (1030.42 crores), "KGF 2" (859.7 crores), "RRR" (782.2 crores), and "Jawan" (640.25 crores). Notably, Vicky Kaushal's "Bad News" is set to release on July 19, which could pose a significant threat to "Kalki 2898 AD."

The film has earned over 588 crores in 20 days.

According to Sacnilk’s report, the film earned approximately 4.25 crores on its third Tuesday. These are preliminary numbers and may fluctuate slightly. Overall, the film has collected 588.25 crores.

Worldwide earnings are close to 960 crores.

Looking at worldwide earnings, the film made 951 crores in 19 days. By Tuesday, it surpassed the 960 crore mark.

How is the film's story ? The narrative is compelling and has the potential to create a sensation not just in the country but worldwide. The story begins in Kashi and gradually takes us to a place called Shambhala, hidden from the world. The inhabitants hope for someone to come and rescue them from darkness, filling their world with light. This 'darkness' refers to the 'Complex,' a realm where people who aspire to rule the world reside, working on 'Project K.'

In the film, Prabhas plays the role of Bhairava, who fights for survival every day. Amitabh Bachchan's role is significant, as he portrays Ashwatthama. The entire story revolves around Deepika Padukone's character, who is known as SUM-80 in the Complex but is named Sumati once she leaves. Their battle is against the deity of the Complex, Supreme, played by Kamal Haasan. The story has many twists and turns, making it engaging. The tale isn’t finished yet, as the makers are working on the second part. Why is Deepika's character removed from the Complex? What is Prabhas's connection with Amitabh? These questions can only be answered by watching the film in theaters.

Bengali actor Saswata Chatterjee plays the significant role of Supreme’s right-hand man. Disha Patani appears as Roxy, Prabhas's girlfriend, though her screen time is limited. Regarding performances, Prabhas will win ones heart, and Amitabh Bachchan, the legend of the century, showcases a unique avatar every time he appears. There’s also a surprise for Amitabh's fans, which be can enjoyed  while watching the film.

Deepika portrays a calm character and delivers a good performance. All the stars have done justice to their roles. The direction by Nag Ashwin is commendable, presenting a film that rivals Hollywood. This film demonstrates that Hindi cinema can produce films comparable to Hollywood. The picturization and cinematography are impressive.

However, the first half of the film is a bit tangled, and by the time you grasp the story, the second half kicks in, which is stronger. The film is somewhat slow, causing occasional boredom, seemingly stretched due to the division into two parts. The music is aptly timed and adds to the emotional impact. Overall, this film is worth watching with family, and children will enjoy it in 3D. The film deserves 4 stars.
