Simone Biles met expectations and delivered an outstanding performance, kicking off the Paris Olympics with a gold medal. On Tuesday night, the American gymnast led her team to victory in the artistic gymnastics team event. Biles participated in all four rotations, finishing with her renowned floor event. Throughout the competition, the American team appeared unfazed by pressure, ultimately securing the gold with ease. After the event, Biles embraced her teammates, her face beaming with joy. The crowd chanted her name, celebrating her triumphant return to the sport after her abrupt exit from the Tokyo Olympics three years ago. With this victory, Biles earned her eighth Olympic medal, five of which are gold.

Spain's star tennis duo, Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz, progressed to the quarterfinals of the Paris Olympics 2024 with a thrilling super tiebreak victory over the Netherlands' Tallon Griekspoor and Wesley Koolhof. After dropping the first set 6-4, the Dutch pair pushed the match to a tiebreaker in the second set, winning it 7-2. Despite this setback, Nadal and Alcaraz kept their cool and dominated the super tiebreak with a 10-2 triumph. Following his elimination from the men's singles by Novak Djokovic, Nadal now focuses on winning a third Olympic medal in the eagerly awaited doubles competition.
