Indian women crush Bangladesh, reach Asia cup final

India has reached the final of the Women's Asia Cup for the ninth time. In the history of the Asia Cup, the Indian women's team has played in the final every time, and Harmanpreet Kaur's team has continued that tradition. In the semi-finals, India convincingly defeated Bangladesh by 10 wickets. Batting first, Bangladesh scored 80 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Openers Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma chased down the target in just 11 overs. India will play the final on Sunday against  Sri Lanka .

Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana won the toss and decided to bat first. However, nothing went well for Bangladesh except winning the toss. Dilara Akter was dismissed in the first over. Renuka Singh impressed with the new ball, taking three wickets during the power play. She dismissed Dilara, Ishma Tanzim, and Murshida Khatun. The Bangladeshi batters struggled to handle Renuka's swing.

Although captain Nigar held one end, wickets kept falling at the other. Rumana Ahmed, Rabeya Khan, and Ritu Moni failed to score runs. After Renuka's pace, Radha Yadav shone with her spin. Bangladesh lost six wickets for 44 runs and seemed likely to be bowled out. Nigar managed to drag the team to a somewhat respectable total, scoring 32 runs off 51 balls. Shorna Akter added 19 runs. Radha took two wickets in the 20th over, including a maiden. Renuka finished with 3 wickets for 10 runs, and Radha took 3 wickets for 14 runs.

Chasing a target of 81 runs was never going to be a tough task for India. Mandhana and Shafali started aggressively and utilized the power play well. Despite the low target, they did not play cautiously. India scored 46 runs in the power play.

After the power play, with the field spread out, the scoring rate slowed slightly, but India had no trouble securing the win. None of the Bangladeshi bowlers could dismiss the openers. Mandhana scored a half-century, and India won by 10 wickets with 54 balls to spare. Mandhana remained unbeaten on 55, and Shafali on 26.
