IndvZim : Jaiswal dazzles as India win series with 10 wkt win in 4th game

India triumphed over Zimbabwe by 10 wickets in the fourth T20 match, securing the series win with one match remaining. Zimbabwe, batting first, posted a total of 152 runs for 7 wickets, led by Sikandar Raza. In response, India reached 156 runs in 15.2 overs without losing a wicket.

Indian batsmen aimed for a swift victory from the outset, with Yashasvi Jaiswal displaying particular aggression. The young left-hander spearheaded the attack against Zimbabwe's bowlers, while captain Shubman Gill provided steady support. India accumulated 61 runs in the power play without losing a wicket. Zimbabwe's bowlers struggled to contain Yashasvi's onslaught. Although Shubman started cautiously, he too began to open up. The two Indian openers remained untroubled and both reached fifties. Yashasvi remained unbeaten with 93 runs off 53 balls, hitting 13 fours and 2 sixes. Shubman scored an unbeaten sublime 58 off 39 balls, including 6 fours and 2 sixes.

Earlier, Shubman won the toss and elected to field. However, the Indian bowlers had a slow start. Khaleel Ahmed and Tushar Deshpande failed to take any wickets in the first 8 overs. Abhishek Sharma broke the opening partnership in the ninth over by dismissing Tadiwanashe Marumani for 32 runs off 31 balls, including 3 fours. In the next over, Shivam Dube sent back Wesley Madhevere for 25 runs off 24 balls, which included 4 fours. Despite a strong start with a 63-run opening stand, Zimbabwe's wickets began to fall at regular intervals. Captain Sikandar Raza played a highly aggressive innings of 46 runs off 28 balls, hitting 2 fours and 3 sixes, but received little support from his teammates. On this day, Raza achieved the milestone of 2000 runs in international T20 cricket. The rest of Zimbabwe's batting lineup struggled, and they could not capitalize on their promising start.

Tushar Deshpande made his debut for India but had a modest performance, taking 1 wicket for 30 runs in 3 overs. Khalil Ahmed was India's most successful bowler, claiming 2 wickets for 32 runs. Shivam Dube, Abhishek Sharma, and Washington Sundar took 1 wicket each, with figures of 1 for 11, 1 for 20, and 1 for 32, respectively. Ravi Bishnoi bowled economically but did not take a wicket, conceding 22 runs.
