After the openers , India's middle order also failed.  Captain Harmanpreet Kaur became the victim of Natalie Sciver Brunt. Harmanpreet scored nine runs on seven balls.  Deepti Sharma could not open the account.  She slashed at an outgoing ball and was caught by Amy Jones on the ball of Lauren Bell.  Soon Richa was caught by Sophie Ecclestone off her own ball.  Richa scored four runs on five balls.

Pooja Vastrakar (6) to went cheaply too.  Pooja was clean bowled by Sarah Glenn.  Shreyanka (4)  was caught off Freya Kemp at the hands of Amy Jones.  Finally  Jemima (30) perished after being dropped once

In reply India hit back early with quick wickets Renuka Thakur took two wickets in the third over.  She dismissed Sophia Dunkley on the third ball as batter played on  and Daniel Wyatt (0) on the sixth ball bowled through the gate .  Pooja Vastrakar dismissed Natalie Sciver Brunt (16 runs).  Alice Capsey was out after scoring 25 runs on the ball of Saika Ishaque.  Amy Jones (five runs) and Freya Kemp (zero) were dismissed by Deepti Sharma to raise slight hopes for India .  However , after the fall of six wickets, Sophie Ecclestone (9*) Heather Knight (7,*) close out the match without further delay . Indian bowlers performed well, but due to less runs on the scoreboard, Team India had to face defeat.
