Harman gets crucial wickets but Aus W keep slim hopes alive

The India vs Australia womens test has moved to the 4th day with Australia batters keeping their slim hopes of saving the match alive .

Harmanpreet Kaur took two wickets in the last over.  But the third day against Australia in the women's Test was a fight  for Indian bowlers .  The Indian bowlers had to work hard  against the Australian batsmen's endurance and tough mentality.  At the end of the day Australia score 233-5. Now they are  ahead by 46 runs.

India started batting on Saturday with a lead of 157 runs.  But the two cricketers Deepti Sharma and Pooja Vastrakar, who settled down at the crease the previous day, could not pull the innings for a long time.  India's innings ended within half an hour.  They scored 406 runs.  This is their highest run in a Test against Australia.  Deepti scored 78 runs before being bieled by Garth .  Pooja was out for 47 runs to Sutherland .  Annabel Sutherland took two of India's last three wickets

Beth Mooney and Phoebe Lichfield started well for Australia.  But both lost their wickets when they looked settled .  Due to 'brain fade', Mooney (33) was strangely run out by Richa Ghosh's throw as she wandered out of the crease .  On the other hand, Sneh Rana picked up Litchfield who missed a reverse sweep and was bowled .  Ellyse Perry at three was heading for a big score .  Tahlia made a partnership of 84 runs with McGrath.  But Perry went back to 45 runs after looking really good with her defence and quality strokeplay that included a couple of straight drives . Perry was smartly caught down the leg side by Yastika off Sneh Rana .

McGrath and Alyssa Healy were moving towards a big stand  for the fourth wicket.  McGrath offered multiple opportunities.  But the Indian cricketers could not take it.  Finally Harman took the wicket.  While defending , the ball went to the stumps through the gap of the bat-pad.  McGrath was dismissed for a well made 73 runs that included some fine drives and cuts through the offside .  Healy returned after a while lbw to Harmanpreet trying to sweep for 33 .  Sutherland (12) and Ashley Gardner (7) are at the crease as Australia look to fight another day .
