Samuel Jordan Cane, commonly known as Sam Cane, is a New Zealand rugby player who primarily plays as a flanker. He has had a successful rugby career.  Some of his notable achievements and career highlights up to that point included:


1. Rugby World Cup: Sam Cane was a vital part of the New Zealand national rugby team, the All Blacks. He was part of the team that won the 2015 Rugby World Cup, contributing significantly to their success.


2. All Blacks Captaincy: Cane has captained the All Blacks, taking on the responsibility of leading one of the world's most successful and iconic rugby teams.


3. Super Rugby: He has had a successful career with the Waikato Chiefs in Super Rugby, and he has been a key player in their performances.


4. International Test Caps: Cane has earned a substantial number of international test caps for the All Blacks, demonstrating his consistency and quality as a rugby player. Before the Rugby World cup he played 94 times for New Zealand and scored 80 points 


5. Rugby Championship: He has been involved in New Zealand's successful Rugby Championship campaigns, which is an annual competition featuring New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, and Argentina.


With already a Rugby World cup (2015) title under his belt , Cane will be hoping to add one this time .
