Major train collision at Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh


Andhra Pradesh after Baleshwar in Odisha.  An express train collided with a passenger train in Vizianagaram district on Sunday.  Six people died.  18 people were injured.  Rescue work is going on.  According to railway sources, the problem is the 'mistake' of the workers.  According to the Prime Minister's office, he spoke with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnab.  He promised all kinds of help.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased.  West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee single-handedly took the railways in the incident.  She demanded an investigation.  Raised the question, "When will the railway wake up?" The railway has announced compensation for the victims of the accident.  Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnab tweeted that compensation of Rs 10 lakh will be given to those who died in the accident, Rs 2 lakh to those seriously injured and Rs 50,000 to those who sustained minor injuries.


 About 280 people lost their lives in a collision between two trains and a freight train in Baleshwar a few months ago.  This time the accident is in Andhra Pradesh.  The passenger train was traveling from Visakhapatnam to Rayagada.  The train came to a standstill as the overhead wire snapped.  Then Palasa Express came and hit it.  The train was going from Visakhapatnam to Palasa.  As a result of the impact, three compartments of the passenger train were derailed.  Various photos of the scene have been released.  It has been seen that the train compartment has derailed.  Many people have gathered there.  Locals helped in the rescue work.  East Central Railway Public Relations Officer said two trains collided.  The train derailed.  Several people were injured.  But that number is not known.  Rescue work is going on.

Andhra Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy expressed grief over the train accident.  His office said in a statement on social media, "The Chief Minister has expressed deep grief over the train accident in Kantakapalli of Vijayanagaram district.  He ordered the officials to take quick action.  The statement further informed that as many ambulances as possible have been ordered to be sent to the spot from the nearby districts of Visakhapatnam and Anakapalli.  The Chief Minister has also ordered the local hospitals to be ready.  He is said to be informed about the incident from time to time.
