Earthquake shook Nepal, North India at 6.2 magnitude, another happened in Afghanistan

 



Delhi was shaken by a major earthquake.  Earthquake occurred twice in Nepal and due to it , Delhi and many parts of North India  shook.  The first earthquake in Nepal occurred on Tuesday at 2:25 PM.  The magnitude of the tremor was 4.6 on the Richter scale.  The second earthquake occurred on Tuesday at 2:51 PM.  Its magnitude is 6.2 on the Richter scale.



 The National Center for Seismology said the epicenter was two kilometers from Vatekhola in Nepal, at a depth of five kilometers.  According to sources, the tremors lasted for 40 seconds.  That is why the intensity of the earthquake is so high.



 Besides Delhi, NCR, tremors were also felt in Lucknow, Hapur, Amroha in Uttar Pradesh.  Tremors were also felt in some parts of Uttarakhand.  Panic spread across the capital after the tremors were felt.  The residents of the multi-storey came down to the streets.  That video has now spread on social media.


Meanwhile close on the heels of Nepal earthquake another earthquake has happened in Afghanistan of 4.6 magnitude.


  


 Couple of days back  earthquake shook parts of Delhi's neighbouring state of Haryana on Sunday night.  The earthquake occurred around 11:26 pm.  Its center was seven kilometers east, southeast of Rohtak.  Meghalaya was rocked by an earthquake on Monday night.  The magnitude of the tremor was 5.2 on the Richter scale.
