Asian Games 2022 : Gold- Silver for India in Javelin, Gold in mens 4×400mts, Men Hockey team in final
India's medal quest in Asian Games continued as Neeraj Chopra won gold again in the Asian Games. He won the gold with a javelin throw of 88.88 meters on Wednesday. Silver also came home to India. Kishore Jenna from Odisha threw 87.54m. As a result, both gold and silver came home to India from the same event. Throughout the event, there was no match for the two Indian athletes. Dean Jenky, who finished third, cleared 80 meters but was five meters behind second place.
What stood out the most from the medal win was the camaraderie between the two Indian players. Whenever he was topping, he was congratulating the player on the opposite side. At one time, it seemed that gold was not for Neeraj, Kishore would take it. But in the next throw, Neeraj showed his talent. Usually Neeraj gives his best throw in the first three rounds. But his medal on Wednesday came in the fourth round of throws.
Neeraj's name was second in the start list. Kishore was number four. A lot of trouble surrounded Neeraj's first attempt. That effort could not be measured for technical reasons. As a result Neeraj has to throw again. He threw 82.38 meters in his first attempt. Kishore threw 82.16 meters. Both were in the top two places at the end of the first round.
Neeraj surpassed himself in the second round. He threw 84.49 meters. Kishore's distance was 79.76 meters. But this time too, some fog is created. The umpire first called Kishore's throw 'foul'. But Neeraj came forward and protested . The umpires changed the decision after reviewing the throw.
Neeraj's third round was a foul. The Indian sportsperson did not protest about it. But in the third attempt, Neeraj was overpowered by Kishore. He threw 86.77 meters. Seeing that, Neeraj rushed towards Kishore. He hugged his teammate. The remaining six players were eliminated after the first three rounds.
The best of Neeraj comes out as Kishore overpowers him. He threw 88.88 meters in his fourth attempt. He overtook Kishore and returned to the first place. This time Odisha teenager came and hugged Neeraj. Kishore's fourth attempt was 87.54m. In the fifth attempt, Neeraj threw the javelin 80.80 meters but the teenager's attempt was fouled.
Neeraj's sixth attempt was fouled. But that did not change his position. The last attempt was of Kishore. But he made no attempt to topple Neeraj. His sixth throw was fouled. But without paying attention to that direction, he ran and hugged Neeraj. The two Indian players cheered together.
Meanwhile India's boys won gold in the 400x4m race. Anas Muhammad, Amaj Jacob, Ajmal Muhammad and Rajesh Ramesh brought gold to the country. They broke the national record and finished the race on Wednesday in 3 minutes 01.58 seconds
Last time India won silver in this event. Had to lose against Qatar. Rameshra left behind that Qatar on Wednesday. Anas started the race. He finished fifth. He took 43.60 seconds. The next race was Jacob's. He led the country to gold. He brought India number five to number one. Ajmal and Rajesh maintained that trend. India won the gold. Qatar got silver and Sri Lanka got bronze in this event.
India set a record in world athletics this year. There the Indian boys finished the race in 2 minutes 59.05 seconds. India narrowly failed to break its own record on Wednesday.

In hockey India reached the final of the Asian Games. They beat South Korea 5-3 in the semi-finals on Wednesday. Goals were scored by Mandeep Singh, Hardik Singh, Amit Rohidas, Lalit Upadhyay and Abhishek. India will play Japan in the final.
At the start of the match on Wednesday, the attacking rush was in India's hands. From the start, South Korea's D-box could be attacked one after another. India scored in five minutes. An attempt on goal was blocked by South Korea. Hardik Singh scored the return ball. India's second goal in 11 minutes. Gurjant received the ball in South Korea's box. He passed to Mandeep Singh. It hit a South Korean defender and went into the goal. India's third goal came a second before the end of the first quarter. After receiving the ball in the South Korean box, Vivek passed to Gurjant. South Korea scored another goal in the third quarter. After 42 minutes, Jung scored his hat trick from the penalty corner. Korea became desperate for a goal in the fourth quarter. But they could not score because of India's solid defense. On the contrary, India moves forward. Abhishek scored in the 54th minute. Mandeep passed to Abhishek. He broke into South Korea's box and scored on a reverse hit and thus India won after a good contest from South Korea.
India has reached 81 medals in Hangzhou Asian Games so far . They now have 18 Golds , 31 Silver and 32 Bronze . Hosts China leads medal tallywith 314 medals followed by Japan and South Korea
