Israeli Army announces ultimatum for Gaza residents to move south as bomb strikes beckons

Only three hours at hand.  In the meantime, the Israeli army requested the residents of Gaza to move to a relatively safe place.  In effect, a deadline has been set for Gazans to flee for their lives.  The Israeli army said that they are going to launch an all-out attack on Gaza after crossing this border.

The Israeli Defense Forces said on Sunday, "We have already requested residents of Gaza and northern Gaza to move south for security reasons.  We would now like to inform that we will not take any repressive action in the area from 10 am to 1 am.  During this time, please withdraw from the northern part of Gaza to the southern side.”

Earlier, it was alleged by Israel that the members of Hamas are preventing the Palestinians from going to the southern side of Gaza.  Allegations were also made of attempts to use Palestinians as human shields.  According to Israeli administration sources, Gaza cannot be brought under control by air strikes only because it is a dense and densely populated area.  So they want to attack Gaza this time by land.  Israel wants to send Palestinians south to depopulate Hamas and attack the militant group's main base, northern Gaza.

Earlier, Israel asked residents of Gaza to leave the area within 24 hours.  This directive was opposed by the United Nations.  "The United Nations believes that such a move would have catastrophic consequences," their spokesman Stephane Dujarric said in a statement.  Incidentally, the World Health Organization (WHO) has also condemned the way sick patients are being evacuated from hospitals in the northern part of Gaza.
