Asian Games 2022 : Parul Chaudhary pulls off epic win for 5000 meters Gold as India reach 64 medals

 



In Hangzhou Asian Games,India's Parul Chaudhary wins gold medal in Women's 5000-metre race.  Parul stole the race with a final few seconds comeback in the Women's 5000m.  This is after her Silver win in 3000 meters steeplechase.  


What a season has Parul Choudhary had - a big performance at Worlds including a #Paris2024 qualification , a 3000m Steeplechase gold and 5000m silver at Asian Championship and now at AsianGames a 5000m gold and 3000m Steeplechase silver. 




In squash Abhay Singh & Anahat Singh triumph in the Quarter Finals against South Korean pair of Yang-Lee.  With this qualification, India is assured of yet another medal in the Mixed Doubles event. 


Meanwhile , Saurav Ghosal secures his 9th medal at Asian Games as he reaches  the semis of squash .


Dipika Pallikal & Harinder Singh have stormed through to the semis of the Mixed Doubles squash  event. They defeated the Jemyca-Andrew pair of Philippines in style by coming back well after losing the first set.


India are now at 14 Golds 24 Silver and 26 bronze to reach a total of 64 medals with 5 days to go for the games

  Kosar Laddu is a traditional homemade sweet that stands out for its simplicity and rich, rustic flavour.
