Deadliest wildfire of century, 93 dead in Hawaii

Hawaii island  in the Pacific Ocean ,one of the states of  USA is in the midst of massive bushfires .

The death toll from the wildfires in Hawaii jumped to 93 overnight.  The condition of the charred bodies is so deplorable that there is no way to identify them without DNA testing.  It is believed to be the highest number of deaths due to fire in America in the last 100 years.

Last Tuesday, a fire broke out in Lahaina, Maui County, Hawaii.  The hills near the city caught fire first.  Fires fueled by Hurricane Dora quickly spread to Lahaina and Kula in the foothills.  Questions have been raised about the role of the administration in the death of so many people.

In total, 12,000 people live in Lahaina.  The city by the sea is burning now.  As far as the eye can see, the ruins of charred houses, rows of charred cars and the occasional burnt tree trunk line the roadside.  Local residents expressed their anger against the administration.  They claim that if the administration had been a little more proactive, had sent warnings to everyone in time, then so many people would not have died.  Lahaina resident Vilma Reed said, "When did I find out there was a fire in the city?  When I saw the fire on the street opposite my house.  Death is standing in front.'' 63-year-old Prauda said, she was in the car with her daughter, grandson and two cats.  That's the only shelter .

The administration of Lahaina, however, said that they have embarked on emergency rescue operations.  A relief camp has been opened for the homeless.  For now, the administration has banned entry into the burnt city.  Also, the few remaining residents of Kula and Lahaina have been told not to drink the supply water, not even boiled.  Because, many burst pipes can spread chemical pollution in water.

150 people died in the 1946 tsunami in Hawaii.  Soon after that sirens were installed to spread the emergency warning.  Every month his voice is heard, tested — whether it is working or not.  Those who have managed to escape with their lives in this journey say that they did not hear any sirens.  Allegedly, the fire spread with incredible speed.  No time to prepare.  Get a sense of danger after seeing the flames.  One such person, Len Robinson.  In his words, "There was no warning.  nothing  no one came  No fire engine was seen nearby.'' However, there is no mention of sirens being sounded in official documents.  There was an alarm on the mobile phone.  The announcement was made on television and radio.  But due to power and cellular network outages, it was not reached in many cases.
