Pragya v Carlsen : 2nd round of World chess final also drawn, decider on Thursday

 



The second classical round of the Chess World Cup finals was also a draw.  As a result, India's Rameshbabu Pragyananda vs Norway's Magnus Carlsen will be decided in a tiebreaker on Thursday.  Carlsen drew despite playing with white knuckles on Wednesday.  After only five moves, Pragyananda realized that he was playing for a draw.


 "I thought Carlsen would not play for a draw so soon," Pragyananda said in an interview after the match.  But when he made NXD4, I realized that Carlsen was also playing for a draw.'' That was Carlsen's fifth move.  After that 25 more moves are played.  After that two players decided to draw.


 But why did Carlsen think of the draw so soon with white knuckles?  What is the cause of physical weakness?  Carlsen said he had stomach problems.  It is still not completely resolved.  So having trouble concentrating on the game.  Pragya also understands Carlsen's physical problems.  "He looked like there was a problem somewhere," said the Indian chess player.  Carlsen looked tired.  But I got to know what the problem was after watching his interview.
