UEFA Champions league 23-24 : Real Madrid edges out Bayern to reach final

 



Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League (UCL 2023-24) final again.  Real reached the final after defeating Bayern Munich by 4-3 in two rounds amid several disputes over refereeing.  Los Blancos beat Bayern 2-1 in the second leg match on Wednesday night.


 In the first round, Real drew 2-2 with the German team in the away match.  Vinicius could have achieved the feat of reaching the final for the sixth time in the last 10 years if they won at home.  However, the beginning of the match was not easy for Real Madrid.  First, Bayern had scored a goal and Real fall behind.  Davis put Bayern ahead in the 68th minute of the match off a brilliant left footer .  At that time, it seemed that the two German teams were going to play the final after defeating the Spanish champions.  Because another German team Dortmund has already reached the final after defeating Paris Saint-German.


 But just when the victory of Bayern (Bayern Munich) seemed certain, the arrival of a star named Joselu changed the game .  First he equalized by scoring in the 88th minute of the match off a goakkeeper  rebound .  Real's victory came in injury time again off a goalmouth skirmish .  He took Los Blancos to the seventh heaven in just a few minutes.  Bayern, who were leading by one goal until the 88th minute, lost 2-1 in a sensational finish .  The Germans lost 4-3 in aggregate the semi-finals.  However, there was also controversy towards the end of this semi-final.  Bayern fans are furious after an injury-time goal was not ruled out for offside.  Bayern fans claim that the victory would have been theirs if the linesman had not made a mistake.


 Avoiding the controversy, Real won in the end.  Their opponent in the final is Borussia Dortmund.  PSG's Champions League campaign ended in the semi-finals after losing to the German club.  Like the first round, PSG lost 0-1 at home on Tuesday night.  On the other hand, Dortmund will be playing in the Champions League final after 11 years after winning thanks to Matt Hummels' only goal.  Dortmund won 1-0 at home in the first round.

Red alert of more heavy rains in Maharashtra, closures announced in schools, colleges in some districts

Heavy rains totally disrupts train services in Mumbai area, CM orders early closure of Govt Offices

  Due to heavy rains in Maharashtra, the speed of Mumbai local has slowed down.  Many trains have been cancelled and diverted. Due to heavy rains in Thane district adjacent to Mumbai, the track changing point on the Kalyan-Kasara route was damaged, due to which train services on this route were stopped on Wednesday afternoon.  A senior railway official gave this information.  The Central Railway also informed that it has diverted some mail and express trains on Diva-Panvel-Karjat route and Daund-Manmad route, besides terminating some trains between Mumbai and Pune.   Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday ordered that the government offices in Mumbai and the neighboring region should be closed early.
