IPL24 : Kohli , Patidar shines as RCB beat Punjab to win 4 in a row

Punjab Kings have crashed out of IPL24 after losing by 60 runs to RCB who were tense despite the big score on the board .  But in the end, Punjab lost in the run chase.  As a result, Virat Kohli & Co practically survived in the IPL one more day .  "King" played great with the bat on this day.  The way he later ran Shashank out showed how desperate he was to win.

Punjab won the toss and decided to field first.  But despite losing  captain Faf du Plessis (9) at the start, Kohli was in an unstoppable mood through dropped twice by Punjab fielders .  Will Jacks (12) was dismissed cheaply but Kohli was joined by Rajat Patidar.  Patidar's explosive innings of 55 off 23 balls had half a dozen sixes and 3 boundaries as he looked in menacing touch .  Cameron Green scored 46 off 27 balls (5x4, 1x6).  In the end, Dinesh Karthik also made 18 off 7 balls.

But the real architect of RCB's innings is definitely 'King' Kohli.  92 off 47 balls.  Along with 6 sixes, the innings arranged in 7 boundaries kept the pressure on the Punjab bowlers.  But he left the hundred on the field by making the fans sad with a catch on the boundary line.  However, at the moment, the owner of the orange cap crossed the 600-run mark in the current competition.  Chris Gayle has achieved the most number of 600 plus runs in a single season so far in IPL.  On this day, Virat touched the 'Caribbean Giant'.  The most important thing is that even though he got runs so far, his strike rate was being talked about.  But the innings played with a strike rate of 196 is above all criticism.

Once upon a time, it seemed that Bangalore would easily cross the 250 mark.  But in the end they finished with 241 runs for 7 wickets.  For Punjab Harshal Patel took 3 wickets while debutant Kaverappa was impressive as he managed 2 wickets .

Despite the big score of RCB , as the opponent was Punjab, everyone thought the game could go either way.  Just a fortnight ago they achieved the highest run chase in all T20 matches.

On the fourth ball of the innings, Prabhasimran Singh (6), however, went back to Swapnil Singh lbw.  But Riley Rossouw and Jonny Bairstow (16 balls 27) went on a batting rampage as Punjab quickly returned to the match.  Du Plessis send Bairstow back with a sharp catch.  But by then the score is 71 before the end of the sixth over!  But the responsibility for the attack was mainly on Rossouw (61).  His 27-ball innings had 9 boundaries and 3 sixes as he looked in menacing touch .  But he was caught at long on due to a slight miscalculation.  As soon as he returned, he collapsed in the batting order of Punjab.  Jitesh Sharma (5) was dismissed and Livingstone returned without scoring.  The score was then 126/5.  However, Shashank Singh scored 37 runs with 4 boundaries and a pair of sixes to keep Punjab in the fight.  But he was run out by Virat Kohli's fast throw.  At that moment, the struggle of Punjab end .  After that they could never return to the fight. Even Curran (22) went cheaply .  In the end they had to lose the match by 60 runs.

For RCB   , Siraj & Swapnil Singh took 3 wickrts each while Karn Sharma & Fergusion took 2 wickets apiece .
