England outplay Pakistan in 2nd T20I to win series 2-0

England batters blazed away as they outplayed Pakistan by 7 wickets to win the 4 match T20I series 2-0 with 2 games washed out.  Both teams will now fly to the West Indies for the T20I World cup .

Batting first , Pakistan were off to a bright start with Babar Azam batting fluently and hitting dazzling strokes . Rizwan looked in fine touch too as Pakistan reached an impressive 59/1 at powerplay before Babar(36) was dismissed by Archer's slower ball caught at fly slip . Soon Rizwan (23) was foxed by Adil Rashid . Usman Khan played cracking shots in his 38 but the Pakistan middle order slumped with Fakkar Zaman (9) , Shadab (0) & Azam Khan((0) falling in quick succession as the England spinners took control. Late flourishes by Ifthikar (20) and Naseem (16) managed to stretch Pakistan to 157 all out in 19.5 overs .

The England spinners were brilliant with Adil Rashid (2/27) , Livingstone (2/17) choking Pakistan in the middle overs . Mark Wood (2/35) and Jofra Archer (1/35) bowled with pace as England looked well served in their bowling department.

Chasing a modest target , the English openers Salt and Buttler came out all guns blazing and launched a fierce assault on the Pakistan quicks . Salt fresh from his IPL exploits looked in ominous touch as he cut , drove and pulled fiercely to score a rapid 45 in 24 balls while Buttler (39) looked equally dangerous, finding the gaps at will as England went past 70 in the powerplay rapidly. Finally it was Haris Rauf who got a bit of movement to get Buttler while Salt was caught in the deep . Jacks (20) looked steady till he was yorked by Rauf but Bairstow plundered 16 ball 28 along with Brook (16*) to ensure England win in clinical style in the 16th over  to win the series 2-0.  Rashid was the player of the match while Buttler was the player of the series .
