Team India defeated Australia by 44 runs in the second T20 match to get a 2-0 series lead .  Team India, batting first, scored 235 runs losing four wickets in 20 overs due to the half-centuries of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ishan Kishan and Ruturaj Gaikwad.  In front of this huge score, the Australian team could score only 191 runs after playing 20 overs, losing nine wickets.  Ravi Bishnoi took three wickets for India.  With this, India has taken a 2-0 lead in the five-match T20 series.

 Australian batting failed today again.

Steve Smith and Matthew Short tried to give a fast start to the Australian team chasing the target of 236 runs.  Both of them were successful in the first two overs but Suryakumar Yadav, who was captaining Team India in this series, handed the ball to Ravi Bishnoi in the third over in a great move .  Ravi showed the path to the pavilion to Short (19) on the fifth ball of this over getting him bowled .  Batsman Josh English, who scored a century in the last match, also could not do anything special in this match.  Ravi got him caught by Tilak Verma and sent him to the pavilion.  He scored only two runs.  Glenn Maxwell (12) could have been a threat but Axar Patel gave a big success to India by getting him caught by Jaiswal.  Prasidh Krishna also sent Steve Smith to the pavilion on the second ball of the eighth over.  Smith scored 19 runs and was caught will pulling .

Australia had lost its four wickets for only 58 runs.  After this, Tim David and Marcus Stoinis scored runs in blistering fashon and made a partnership of 81 runs in 38 balls for the fifth wicket.  Bishnoi broke this partnership by dismissing Tim David.  This right-handed batsman scored 37 runs in 22 balls with the help of four fours and two sixes before caught in the deep down the ground .  Marcus Stoinis was moving towards a half-century but missed by five runs.  Mukesh Kumar made him his victim.  He scored 45 runs in 25 balls with the help of two fours and four powerful sixes .  Prasidh Krishna then sealed Australia's defeat by dismissing Shaun Abbott (1) and Nathan Ellis (1) in the 16th over with some good yorker bowling .  Arshdeep Singh showed Adam Zampa the way to the pavilion on the last ball of the 17th over and then it was a formality, with Wade remaining not out 43 inclusive of some lusty 6s  but it was already game done .

Earlier, Australian captain Matthew Wade won the toss and asked India to bat first.  Jaiswal and Ruturaj gave a strong start to the team.  Both added 77 runs for the first wicket. Jaiswal was hitting 4s & 6s at will with cuts and pulls while Gaikward too got into the flow while fluent drives      After scoring a half-century, Jaiswal became the victim of Ellis after scoring 53 runs in 25 balls with the help of nine fours and two sixes.  Even after his departure, the Australian team did not get relief.  Ishan Kishan created a storm adter a while and completed his half-century before Rituraj.  He became the victim of Stoinis on the second ball of the 16th over.  He scored 52 runs in 32 balls with the help of three fours and four sixes.  There was a partnership of 87 runs between Ruturaj and Ishan.  Captain Suryakumar was out after scoring 19 runs in 10 balls.  Ruturaj returned to the pavilion on the second ball of the last over.  He played 43 balls, out of which he hit fours on three and sixes on two.

Rinku Singh, who came after Suryakumar's dismissal, batted in a blazing  manner as soon as he came.  He faced only nine balls in this match and scored unbeaten 31 runs with the help of four fours and two clean sixes.  Along with him, Tilak Verma remained unbeaten after scoring seven runs on two balls.  He hit a six.  Nathan Ellis took three wickets for Australia as the visitors largely struggled with their bowling .

Jaiswal for his impact start with a 50 and quality fielding got the player of the match award .
