Adam Gilchrist is arguably the finest wicketkeeper batsman ever lived . Born November 14 1971 , Gilchrist belongs to Perth in Western Australia. 

Gilchrist was known for his aggressive and high-impact approach as both a batsman and wicketkeeper, revolutionizing the role with his ability to score quickly and consistently under pressure. His skill behind the stumps and explosive batting made him a game-changer for Australia.

Gilchrist was a highly aggressive left handed batsman who batted in the middle order in test cricket and opened the batting in other shorter formats.  He was strong on the cuts , drives and pull shots and a fine player off the backfoot as well as off the frontfoot . 2007 World Cup: Played one of his most memorable innings in the final, scoring 149 off 104 balls against Sri Lanka. This remains one of the best World Cup final innings, securing Australia's third consecutive title.

1. 204 vs South Africa* in Johannesburg in 2002, a dominant and crucial innings in a high-scoring Test setting up the test series win . He completely destroyed the South African bowling attack . 

2. 149 in the 2007 World Cup Final – a match-winning knock in a high-pressure World Cup final vs Sri Lanka  leading Australia to 3rd consecutive  world cup title.
