Windies seal ODI series vs Eng with twin 100s powering to 8 wkt win
Glorious 100s from Brendon King and a talented Keacy Carty powered hosts West Indies to an emphatic 8 wicket win in the decider to win the series 2-1 vs England.
The tourists had squared the series courtesy an imperious 100 from the skipper Liam Livingstone but on this day they slumped to 24/4 in the early stages courtesy some fine Windies bowling as initial wickets tumbled . 2nd ODI hero Liam Livingstone also went cheaply along with Jacks, Cox & Bethel . However Phil Salt held the innings together with a fine 74 and well supported by a gallant 40 from Sam Curran . Later southpaw Dan Mousley with his 57 showed his obvious talent and brisk 30s from Overton & Archer took England to a challenging 263/8 . Forde (3/35 ) and Joseph (2/45) had their hostile moments as they had rattled England in the initial stages .
In reply Brendon King and Evin Lewis started briskly before Lewis departed for 19 . However Carty joined forces with King to put on a huge partnership that snuffed England gradually out of the game .Both played breathtaking strokes as England bowlers had no answers to their oustanding display of batting . King (102) departed soon after his century but Carty (128*) finished the match as the West Indies conquered England.
