IPL2025 : All Squad analysis in brief

 

The IPL 2025 Mega auction is over and the all the 10 teams have taken their final shape. With the mega event 2025 edition starting on March 14 , it is time to look at the strengths & weaknesses of all the teams . 

Below is the team analysis in brief for all the 10 teams 

Chennai Super Kings 

As usual and they managed to secure their core team . Ruturaj & Conway will start a strong batting lineup with good power in the middle order . The Ashwin Jadeja combo will be doing wonders in the spin department and they have a lot of pace stocks to chose from . Maybe a little less stabilty in middle order batting , else a strong team and again  favourites to reach playoffs .

Ruturaj Gaikwad, Matheesha Pathirana, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni, Devon Conway, Rahul Tripathi, Rachin Ravindra, R. Ashwin, Khaleel Ahmed, Noor Ahmad, Vijay Shankar, Sam Curran, Shaik Rasheed, Anshul Kamboj, Mukesh Choudhary, Deepak Hooda, Gurjapneet Singh, Nathan Ellis, Jamie Overton, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Ramakrishna Ghosh, Shreyas Gopal, Vansh Bedi, Andre Siddarth.

Mumbai Indians :

Lots of batting firepower and the strong pace attack is back with Boult & Bumrah to operate in tandem . A fit Deepak Chahar may offer a lot at the Wankhede . The spin stock looks limited but if Rohit & Jacks fire , Mumbai Indians will be unstoppable.  Amongst the top favourites for playoffs & beyond .

Royal Challengers Bengaluru 

Top heavy batting . Phil Salt & Livingstone may add a lots of firepower . Jacob Bethel can be a suprise package & Romario Shepherd can be formidable. The pace bowling can be formidable if Bhuvneshwar , Dayal  & Hazlewood  gels well . All rounder  Krunal Pandya can provide the spin option but it lacks depth in RCB .  Can reach playoffs . 

Royal Challengers Bangalore  squad : 

Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Yash Dayal, Liam Livingstone, Phil Salt, Jitesh Sharma, Josh Hazlewood, Rasikh Dar, Suyash Sharma, Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Swapnil Singh, Tim David, Romario Shepherd, Nuwan Thushara, Manoj Bhandage, Jacob Bethell, Devdutt Padikkal, Swastik Chhikara.

Kolkata Knight Riders :  

Even though they lost skipper Shreyas Iyer they look a seriously strong team with a great bench strength . The batting looks all power from top to the lower order with good openers to cover the sudden loss of Salt to RCB .  The spin bowling has match winners . The team is full of all rounders . They lost Starc in auction but Spencer Johnson should cover the void along with Nortje . Good Indian pace stocks .  Hot favourites to reach playoffs . 

Kolkata Knight Riders squad : 

Rinku Singh, Varun Chakaravarthy, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Harshit Rana, Ramandeep Singh, Venkatesh Iyer, Quinton de Kock, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Anrich Nortje, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Vaibhav Arora, Mayank Markande, Rovman Powell, Manish Pandey, Spencer Johnson, Luvnith Sisodia, Ajinkya Rahane, Anukul Roy, Moeen Ali, Umran Malik.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

SRH has retained their core players in retention time and added Ishan Kishan , pacer Simarjit Singh , Harshal Patel & spinner Adam Zampa & Rahul Chahar to raise their stocks . Prolific Lankan all rounder Kamindu Mendis likely to add more stability. Spin department looks thin in backups . The team will thrive on batting more . Playoff chances are good . 

 

Sunrisers Hyderabad squad :

Rajasthan Royals :

The loss of Jos Buttler can be damaging though they have Samson to join Jaiswal to open . Sri Lankan duo spinning skills to offset loss of Ashwin . Overall still a quality side  but the loss of Buttler and  Boult can be damaging . Playoff hopes : average

Punjab Kings :

Punjab with a big purse has assembled a quality side with great firepower in batting . Lots of all rounders . Jansen, Ferguson  & Bartlett can offset the losses of Rabada , Curran & Ellis . An in form Josh Inglis can add consistency in opening . All in all a formidable side and should have great hopes for playoffs

The loss of Rishabh Pant can hurt in the middle order . However KL Rahul with all his skills should add value along with the experience of Faf Duplessis & the talent of Brook , Stubbs & McGurk . A quality bowling attack overall . If Delhi can gel well , they will be a handful . Playoffs chances : Can be good

One of the best sides after the auction and all departments well covered with domestic & foreign players with good bench strength.  Rabada , Buttler & Phillips to add lots of value . The team can be a formidable outfit  if it gels well . Playoffs hopes - very bright.

Some big names added to the squad including the most expensive  Rishabh . Batting has firepower but they might miss the solidity of KL Rahul & DeCock  at the top . Presence of many all rounders .  Pace bowling lacks a strong overseas presence and bowling overall looks a bit weaker . Playoff hopes - Needs a lot of effort
