IPL 2025 Mega Auction - Final Squads of 10 teams after the big event

 



The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction is nearing its conclusion at the Abadi Al Johar Arena in Jeddah, heralding a pivotal chapter in the tournament’s history. Over two action-packed days, the ten franchises have carefully executed their plans, utilizing a combined purse of Rs 641.5 crore to assemble formidable squads for the upcoming season.


Players such as Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer have redefined the market, securing record-breaking multi-million-dollar contracts in cricket’s most lucrative T20 league.


Franchises like the Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians have focused on maintaining their core strength while incorporating strategic new signings to bolster their chances. On the other hand, teams like the Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru have prioritized marquee players to revamp their line-ups, signaling a fresh strategy for the season ahead.

Rishabh Pant who was snapped up by Lucknow Super Giants ended as the highest paid player with 27 crores INR after the mega auctions , Shreyas Iyer was a close 2nd with 26.75 crs when he was dragged out by Punjab Kings while the other Iyer , Venkatesh with 23.75 Crores to his existing team KKR was the 3rd highest paid . Jos Buttler was the highest paid overseas star with over 15 crores . 

Many top quality foreign players will be on display in IPL 2025 after the auction . Quinton DeCock, Phil Salt , Anrich Nortje , Marco Jansen , Mitchell Starc , Spencer Johnson , Bethel , Livingstone, Maxwell, Stoinis , Hazlewood, Zampa , etc 

David Warner and Jonny Bairstow are two glaring missouts in this IPL after they were surprisingly unsold . 

James Anderson who had registered for the 1st time this IPL went unsold .

Olympics24 : Ten men India edge out Britain in tie breaker to storm into hockey SF

  India reached the Olympic hockey semifinals by defeating Britain in a shootout. The match ended 1-1 in regulation time, leading to a shootout where India won 4-2.
