Spencer Johnson rips through Pakistan batting as Australia win 2nd T20I to capture the series
Australia secured a thrilling 13-run victory over Pakistan in the second T20 match, thanks to the lethal bowling performances of Spencer Johnson and Adam Zampa. With this win, Australia clinched an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Spencer Johnson was the star of the show, claiming a five-wicket haul to dismantle the opposition.
After winning the toss, Australia opted to bat first at the Sydney Cricket Ground and managed to post a modest total of 147 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In response, Pakistan was bowled out for 134 runs in 19.4 overs.

Pakistan’s bowlers put up a commendable effort. Haris Rauf once again was outstanding, taking 4 wickets for just 22 runs in his 4 overs. Abbas Afridi also bowled economically, claiming 3 wickets for 17 runs in his 4-over spell. Sufiyan Muqeem chipped in with 2 wickets for 21 runs in his quota of 4 overs.
Pakistan’s Chase Falters
Chasing a target of 148, Pakistan's batting lineup faltered under pressure. Spencer Johnson was the wrecker-in-chief for Australia, delivering a sensational spell of 4 overs, conceding only 26 runs while picking up 5 wickets. Adam Zampa supported him well, taking 2 wickets for 19 runs, while Xavier Bartlett contributed with a wicket.
For Pakistan, Usman Khan and Irfan Khan were the only notable performers with the bat. Usman scored a steady 52 off 38 balls, while Irfan remained unbeaten with 37 runs off 28 balls. However, the rest of the batting lineup failed to provide support, leading to their collapse at 134 runs. The two seniors Babar Azam & Rizwan failed to deliver
