Asian Games 2022 : India thrash Pak 10-2 in Hockey to reach SF , India reach TT women semis beating strong China

  Indian athletes continue to shine in Asian Games . In Hockey , India  hammered Pakistan by 10-2 in a surprisingly one sided contest while in Table Tennis the India pair won Gold by beating Wirld champions China in a sensational result . Whatever the game, an India-Pakistan match means excitement.  It is a match of honor for the supporters of both countries.  But watching the India-Pakistan clash at the Asian Games on Saturday, it was not clear whether it was a competitive match or an exhibition match.  India was scoring one goal after another.  In the end, they scored ten goals.  Pakistan lost 10-2.  Far from the Asian Games, no hockey match between India and Pakistan had  so many goals before.  Saturday's match thus created new history.  Along with this win, India advanced to the semi-finals of the Asian Games Hockey.  A few days ago, Pakistan came to play the Asian Champions Trophy in India.  They didn't play so bad there either.  India did not let Pakistan stand on this da

  Indian squash team and Rohan Bopanna were the shining lights in Hangzlou Asian Games 2022 on day 7  India defeated Pakistan in the men's team squash final at the Asian Games to win gold.  Sourav Ghoshal & team won the gold medal match by 2-1.  At the same time, the Indian team took sweet revenge for the loss in the group stage.  India's Mahesh Mangaonkar lost 0-3 set to Pakistan's Iqbal Nasir in the first match.  Sourav brought India level by winning the second match, which he won 3-0 against Pakistan's Asim Mohammad Khan.  India's Abhay Singh and Pakistan's Noor Zaman faced off in the third match at 1-1.  Mangaonkar lost the first match by 8-11, 3-11, 2-11.  The first set was a fierce battle between the two opponents.  The first set was tense again and again.  The two players accused each other of obstruction several times.  After a tense first set, Nasir won the second and third sets one-sidedly.  Sourav brought India back to level when trailing 0-1.  He

  The All Blacks have taken a significant step towards a potential quarterfinal showdown vs heavyweights Ireland after their blitz past Italy 96-17 at the Rugby World Cup. The All Blacks silenced their doubters with a clinical display on Friday night. Halfback Aaron Smith stole the show with a first-half hat-trick, and  backrower Ardie Savea added a pair of tries to the score as New Zealand ran away with a dominant half-time lead.   India's Aishwary Pratap Tomar clinched a silver at AsianGames2022 in the Men's 50m Rifle 3P Individual.  With this Aishwary has won a total of  4 medals so far (2  gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze ).   With the ICC ODI World Cup to start off on October 5 , all the 10 teams have finalized their squads with five times champions Australia and twice champions India doing in on the last cutoff date .  Below we look at the team previews of favourites Australia  and a promising Afghanistan  Australia   Australia had to counter a few injuries to crucial players before they took their time to announce their world cup squad . One of their key spinners Ashton Agar who was in the World cup squad was injuried and couldn't recover in time while Travis Head picked up a han fracture in the South African tour .    Japan withstood an ominous  fightback by 14-man Samoa to win 28-22 in Toulouse in the latest game , tightening their grip on second place in World Cup Pool D and ensuring leaders England would reach the quarter-finals. Japan looked more compact in both defence and  attack as they built a 17-point lead with a man advantage with 15 minutes to go. However  Samoa struck twice as Japan ended up clinging on to their World Cup hopes. Asian Games 2022 : India win 6th gold as Shooters edge out China

  India won their 6th  gold in the Asian Games earlier on Thursday.  India's Sarabjot Singh, Shiva Narwal and Arjun Singh Cheema won gold in men's 10m air pistol event.  They scored a total of 1734 points.  China had to be content with silver as it got 1 point less.  Vietnam finished in third place.  This gold win took India's medal tally to 24 in the Asian Games.  Among them are 6 gold, 8 silver and 10 bronze.  The finals of the 10m air pistol event consisted of six rounds in total.  Three shooters take one shot each round.  Sarabjot scored 95, 95, 97, 98, 97 and 98 respectively in his six rounds for India.  Arjun scored 97, 96, 97, 97, 96 and 95 respectively.  India's third competitor Cheema scored 92, 96, 97, 99, 97 and 95 respectively in his six rounds.  Indian shooters scored 284 in the first round.  Their scores from second to sixth round are 287, 291, 294, 290 and 288 respectively.  They scored 1734 points in all.  India finished in first place to win the gold.

  With the latest edition of ODI world cup approaching , we go down memory lane and reflect on some of the epic ODI world cup matches played in its history . Here we look back on the fiery encounter between co hosts New Zealand and Australia at Eden Park Auckland which is supposed to be a belter of a pitch . Australia batted first in that match . After the early loss of Finch (14) , Warner (34)  and Watson (23) batted pretty well to take the team to 80/1 before things started happening.   Southee who earlier bowled Finch , dismissed Warner lbw and Vettori got rid of Watson to rattle Aussies at 80/3 .   After losing back to back 5 ODIs, Australia brought back some of their top players for the final ODI vs India and outplayed the hosts by 66 runs.  After their top 4 scored sparkling 50s , Glenn Maxwell turned out to be the unlikely bowling hero getting 4 wickets as India lost track in a big chase to lose at the end . Winning the toss and batting first Australia were off to a rapid start with Marsh and Warner reeling off boundaries . Cuts , pulls , straight hits , flicks by both batters combined for a rollicking 78 run stand for the first wicket before Warner tried to paddle Prasidh to be caught behind for 56 off just 34 balls with 6 fours and 4 sixes . Smith played well using the gaps in the field for his crisp boundaries while Marsh kept playing dazzling shots but both batters were struggling in the extreme heat and humidity .   Indian shooters are showing strength in the Asian Games in Hangzlou.  India won 11 medals from shooting in four days.  Among them 3 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze.  Four Indian shooters set world records.  Among them three in team competition and one in individual competition. Indian shooters have been showing their strength since Wednesday morning.  Two more medals came in shooting.  This time Sift Kaur Samra won gold in women's 50m rifle 3 positions individual competition.  Ashi Choksi won bronze in the same competition.   Choksi had to be content with winning the bronze as she hit the last shot badly.  Earlier, Ashi and Sift gave silver to India in women's team 50m rifle 3 positions.  India won their fifth gold in the Asian Games.  Sift scored three shots of 50.4, 51.7 and 52.5 in kneeling, for a total of 154.6.  She scored 52.6, 52.9 and 63.0 in the three rounds of prone, for a total of 172.5.  Combining the two categories, the Sift score is 312.5.  On the other hand, Ashi s
