Sporting greats: Johan Cryuff - video & achievements of the flying dutch



Johan Cruyff was a legendary Dutch footballer and manager. He is widely considered one of the greatest football players of all time. Cryuff was very close to this lifetime accolade in the 1974 World cup when Netherlands with their total football was winning over all the opponents and the neutral fans but were found just short in the riveting final against the resilient West Germany against whom they lost by 2-1 after taking a lead in the opening seconds of the final through a penalty  when a rampaging Johan Cryuff was taken down inside the penalty box  .

Cryuff with his light and lanky frame had awesome ball skills and used to fox his opponents with his great ball control and sizzling runs through the middle or the wings . He had a great ability to vary his speeds while on the run and was a great mover with speed as is evident in the below video .
