ISL24 : Mohun Bagan win a thriller 4-3 vs Kerala Blasters,

Mohun Bagan Super Giants won 4-3 against Kerala Blasters in Kerala.  After the derby, the green-maroons finished second in the league after defeating Kerala.  Both teams scored seven goals in the entire match.  The goal was scored until the last minute of the match on Wednesday.  However, at the final whistle, the green and maroon supporters were smiling.

Two days after winning the derby, Mohun Bagan was seen playing on Wednesday.  Coach Antonio López Habas admitted that the footballers are tired after playing two days after the derby victory.  But 4 minutes after the start of the match, Armando Sadiku explained that they have started in a new way in the new match.  Sadiku scored a goal with a defender on his neck with a complete solo feat.  Habas did not keep him in the first eleven in the previous match.  On Wednesday, he made up for that regret by scoring two goals.

Mohun Bagan was leading 1-0 in the first half.  Both teams were attacking.  But Sadiku opened the goal only once.  Vishal Kaith made two saves in Mohun Bagan's goal on this day as well.  From which it could have been a goal.  In the second half, however, both teams started to go in an all out attack .  Vibin Mohanan scored for Kerala in the 54th minute.  But within 6 minutes, Sadiku put Mohun Bagan ahead again.  A Mohun Bagan footballer headed Dimitri Petrats' shot from a free kick to Sadiku.  Sadiku scored a half volley on that ball that crashed into the net .

But within three minutes, Kerala scored again.  Dimitrios Diamantaks went on to score in every attack.  The footballers of Mohun Bagan's defense did not mark him well enough .  In the next 8 minutes, Mohun Bagan's Deepak Tangri scored again theough a header off a corner to give the team the lead.   Kerala defenders had forgotten about Tangri.  No one marked him.  Four goals in 18 minutes on Wednesday.

The number of goals did not stop there.  Habas picked up Sadiq and player Jason Cummins.  He also scored.  Cummins gave the team a 4-2 lead.  It was supposed to be the end.  But the referee gave 8 minutes of added time after 90 minutes.  Dimitrias of Kerala scored in the 98th minute.  At the end of the first half, the result of the match which was 1-0 in favor of Mohun Bagan, ended 4-3.

Despite winning against Kerala, Mohun Bagan is second in the league.  They got 39 points in 18 matches.  Mumbai City have the same number of points after playing 19 matches.  But they are ahead in goal difference.  Third placed Odisha FC got 35 points from 18 matches.  Goa got 33 points after playing the same number of matches.  These four teams have qualified for the playoffs.
